Thinking about going solar?

The nonprofit organization Solar United Neighbors (SUN) has been getting the ball rolling on forming a solar co-op in Indiana. Solar co-ops exist to make the process of navigating quotes and choosing between installers easier and tend to reduce the cost of installation by getting your project done alongside everyone else's. In SUN's words, imagine walking into a solar company’s office with 50 or 100 of your neighbors and saying, “We all want to get solar. What kind of deal can you give us?”

Joining the co-op is free and doesn't obligate you to go through with a solar installation. It gives you the option to participate in the process of reviewing bids and selecting an installer alongside other members and connects you with SUN's resources to evaluate your home for solar and talk shop about any questions you may have about the process or the technology.
