Data centers have become one of the most widely discussed and debated topics across both national media and local planning boards. Lately, we’ve heard ongoing discussion regarding this very issue right here within Little Flower and the east side. The neighborhood association board has also fielded direct requests from neighboring organizations asking the association to become formally engaged in local advocacy surrounding future data centers proposed in our area.
We want to make sure our responses to these requests are informed by direct feedback from our Little Flower neighbors. We want to hear from you about what you want to see from the Little Flower Neighborhood Association on this topic.

Curious to learn more before you take the survey?
We have pulled together two resources that explore the impacts of these developments from both a broad national view and a specific focus right here on our home state:
National Perspective: World Resources Institute (WRI) An in-depth article exploring how the exponential growth of data centers affects infrastructure, grid reliability, water usage, and local communities across the United States. WRI Insights: US Data Center Growth Impacts
Regional & Local Focus: RE-AMP Network Report A comprehensive, midwest-centric report highlighting the operational footprint, environmental dimensions, and policy landscape of data centers across the Midwest, including specific data concerning Indiana. Data Centers in the Midwest and Beyond (PDF)
Thank you for your active participation and feedback. We will review all survey entries at our upcoming board meetings and keep the neighborhood updated on the results.
