Good news, neighbors! Citizens Energy Group is continuing its Lead Service Line Replacement Program to help identify and replace older lead water service lines throughout the community.

If your home was built before 1950, there's a chance your water service line could contain lead. According to their website, while Citizens has no any active lead water mains, homes and businesses constructed and connected to the water system prior to 1950 may have lead water service lines. That's why Citizens is working to identify and replace qualifying lead service lines through this multi-year program.
The first step is simple: complete a request form to have your service line assessed. If your property qualifies and lead is found, you may be eligible for replacement through the program. In designated project areas, eligible lead service lines are replaced at no cost to the property owner after the required agreements are completed.
Want to learn more or see if your home may qualify? Click here to visit the Citizens Energy Group Lead Service Line Replacement Program page. There you can complete the assessment request form to get started.
Taking a few minutes now can help protect your home's water service for years to come. If you think your home may have an older service line, it's worth checking out!
